The Noteboard and Sources panels form a connected workflow. One defines your analytical framework, and the other applies it to your data.
- The Noteboard as Palette: Here you create and manage your tags. Each tag is defined with a name, description, and color, forming the coding scheme for your analysis. Think of it as preparing your colors before painting.
- The Sources Panel as Canvas: Here you apply your tags to the text. Errors are highlighted with the colors you assigned in the Noteboard, turning raw text into a visual map of your analysis.
This interaction creates a cycle:
- Create a tag in the Noteboard.
- Apply that tag to a text span in the Sources Panel.
- Use the filter (compass/eye icon) in the Noteboard to show or hide specific tags, clarifying patterns in the Sources Panel.
Together, the two panels let you move from identifying single errors to exploring larger patterns. By filtering or combining tags, you can immediately see how different error types are distributed across the dataset, making the analysis both systematic and visually transparent.
